Kyle Trendel joined Devore + Associates Architects as Director of Operations in January 2008.

Kyle received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Urban Design in 1999. Prior to arriving at the University of Kansas, he attended Independence Community College on a varsity baseball scholarship.

Kyle’s experience includes working with many of the area’s top design firms with project types ranging from Lifestyle Retail Development Centers to designing and building student housing. He spent 2+ years with Abend Singleton Architects of Kansas City, Missouri, where he worked on several major projects including the addition and renovation of the nationally recognized historic World War I monument, The Liberty Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, as well as the University of Kansas Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics in Lawrence, Kansas. The work on the Liberty Memorial monument received numerous AIA Kansas City Honors, an AIA Central States Honor, as well as an AIA National Award. While at KU, Kyle was also the recipient of an AIA Kansas Unbuilt Student Award.

He is also currently a member of the Planning Commission in Baldwin City, Kansas where he lives with his wife, Gretchen, and two daughters Addyson and Gracelyn.
