Chuck Bowman joined Devore + Associates Architects in September 2001.
Chuck received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri with an emphasis in Drafting.
Immediately after graduation, he took a position as an Engineering Service Technician with Lester Building Systems, a company which designs, produces, and sells pre-engineered, wood framed building systems. While serving as a Service Technician, Chuck was responsible for producing construction drawings, material lists, and shop drawings as well as handling customer service to contractors. After three years, he received a President’s Award and was promoted to Senior Engineering Service Technician where he managed a team of Service Technicians and their day-to-day production.
At Devore + Associates, Chuck has been involved in a variety of projects. Most recently, he served as the project manager on the addition and renovation of Garfield Elementary School for Ottawa Unified School District #290. To accommodate the needs of the School District, the project required an addition that doubled the size while utilizing the current site and a remodel of the existing elementary school with minimal disruption to class schedules. Communication and coordination between contractors, the School District, and the City of Ottawa was key to maintaining limited interruption to the school while still accomplishing the construction goals.
